Most trips count as one booking. With an Amex 2-for-1, SAS currently allows only two passengers per booking — which means a family of four typically splits across two separate bookings.

Why this matters now

Four things every EuroBonus member needs to know

The program has changed more in the past 18 months than in the previous decade. The opportunities are real — but they require knowing where to look.

SkyTeam, not Star Alliance

SAS joined SkyTeam in September 2024 — EuroBonus now redeems on Air France, KLM, Delta, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic and the rest of the alliance, while Lufthansa, United, Singapore and ANA are out.

The December 2025 devaluation

Long-haul Business jumped 20% to 60,000 points one-way and partner Business rose across most regions, while Economy held flat — making Fly Premium more valuable, not less.

TAP Air Portugal joined the partner chart

TAP is now bookable on EuroBonus points with some of the most interesting Business rates on the partner chart — but routings and rules are verified at the time of inquiry rather than quoted in advance.

IV.

Beyond SkyTeam — selected Etihad routings

EuroBonus points also redeem on Etihad between Europe and Abu Dhabi, including selected First options — premium-cabin space is limited and verified per inquiry.
